The US is offering a reward of up to $20 million for information about Iran's nuclear program. The announcement also provides for the possibility of relocation of people who provide information.

The offer is posted on the official page of the U.S. Department of State's Rewards for Justice program. The announcement was distributed by the United States Central Command — CENTCOM.

As AFP noted in its publication of November 7, the search for information continues against the backdrop of repeated statements by President Donald Trump that American strikes have destroyed Iran's nuclear program.

Washington is interested in nuclear facilities, equipment, and personnel associated with the program, including scientists. Separately, information is requested about the movement of equipment and people.

$20 million is the maximum stated reward amount. Which specific information will allow receiving such a payment is not publicly clarified. The conditions for possible relocation and the destination country are also not disclosed in the announcement.

The U.S. Department of State explains the search for information by problems of control by the International Atomic Energy Agency — IAEA. According to the American department's assessment, the agency has gaps in data on production and stockpiles of key components of Iran's nuclear program, including centrifuges.

Meanwhile, on November 6, Trump again stated Tehran's interest in reaching an agreement. Diplomatic efforts by mediators continue amid the risk of renewed large-scale hostilities, AFP notes.
